Benny’s World Foundation
The Foundation

First Fundraiser - 11th May 2008

Benny’s World is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation established to fund research to find a cure for pediatric brain stem tumors, specifically targeting Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). The prognosis for children with DIPG is grim, whilst survival rates for childhood cancer have improved, little progress has been made in curing children with this type of tumor. For the majority, currently available treatments including clinical trials have only resulted in a temporary improvement in neurological function, tumor progression eventually returns. Continuing research is essential to find a cure.

Cancer not only invades the patient, it's affect on families, friends and the community is far-reaching. For that reason, Benny's World will also assist organizations that help families affected by pediatric cancer. The foundation is dedicated to increasing public awareness of pediatric cancer.

Benny loves The Wiggles and has friends and family all over the world, inspiring the foundations name, Benny's World. This website is not only a place to learn about Benny and DIPG, but also a place of hope, together we can fight this disease and ensure Benny continues to beat the odds.

The fundraising efforts of the foundation in 2009 will be focused on fun events for Benny and his friends. We hope to also inspire children to help children. Check out our events page for more details.
